I wanted to email you to thank you for your wonderful training for my horse over the past few months, you enabled me to find her a suitable home when I came to the sad conclusion that she was not the right fit for me. You brought her on from a stressed and at times untrainable horse to a calm and manageable mare who can now regulate herself and has the confidence to go out on her own and explore her surroundings. You gave me honest and helpful feedback along the way and you were kind and caring towards my horse, I loved visiting her and seeing her happy and healthy at your property, with every need attended to. Your communication was wonderful, I always felt up to date with her progress and the photos were an added bonus and greatly appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone in need of coaching, horse training or agistment and will definitely be contacting you when I do find my forever unicorn :)

Jessica is absolutely amazing and has helped both me and my horses grow in confidence and gain trust in our partnership. She is so knowledgeable with horses and humans and her calming manner makes every experience a pleasure. I would just like to say that if there was anyone put on this earth to work with horses it is Jess. I have had the pleasure of knowing Jess now for 10 years and she has worked with several of my horses. Fortunately for me 2 of my girls are pretty chilled and the ‘baby’ of the group is certainly more challenging as she has very strong opinions.
Jess is always so calm and relaxed and takes any ‘challenge’ in her stride. She does not get upset or become harsh with the horses she reads them perfectly and adjusts accordingly.
I have also had riding lessons with Jess after I had a bad fall from my boy. She allowed me to get on her boy Bailey and completely understood where I was coming from and did not push me into anything I didn’t want to do. She built up my confidence bit by bit and I am now back in the saddle on my girl – who Jess started and did an amazing job with.
I can’t thank her enough and I cannot recommend Jess enough she is AWESOME.

My kids and I have been having lessons with Jess for the past 5 years. Jess is a very understanding, encouraging instructor who helps you achieve your goals. In that time I have also sent 2 horses to Jess for training. The job she has done on these horses is unbelievable. They were both very nervous distracted horses when I took them there, 1 being very green, and they both came back confident with a good work ethic and performance. Jess is a very knowledgeable horsewoman with a holistic approach to horse training. Her standards are high and she helps both horse and rider achieve these. I have known Jess in a professional capacity for around 5 years and in that time she has worked with both me and my horses.

My horse Mickey and I had reached a point where we couldn’t progress. I had started to feel like our riding problems were not getting any better and my confidence in my riding ability was also diminishing. Mickey would be so heavy on the hands, which made it hard to ride, and he wouldn’t go forward (even though he’s a thoroughbred!). The worse part of our riding was his unwillingness to work which would lead to “arguments”. Often if he didn’t want to go forward or do an exercise and when I tried to make him do it, he would throw his head around and sometimes try to buck me off.
A few people at my Agistment recommend I try Jess from Equine Focus. Our first lesson was challenging as Mickey did not want to lift his head to contact and fought me the whole lesson. But by the end of the lesson, he had made progress and it was all upwards from there. Within three lessons, I had a forward moving horse who was soft to the hands and willing to do work.
I am more confident in my riding and can grab my horse straight out the paddock and tack up without fear of an “argument” or a bad ride.
Jess has given me my confidence back and also given me the skills and techniques to help my horse perform to the best he can, and we are now progressing forward!

Jess has done an amazing job with my pony moon! The way she handled her from start to finish was calm, confident and professional. Jess never rushed her but gave her plenty to think about and learn which was what she needed. Jess has also given me lessons on the ground and in the saddle. I think I am a competent rider but always learn so much from Jess and love every minute of the lessons. Thank you Jess!!
